New a-n people - Hugh Dichmont
a-n Editor Gillian Nicol’s maternity leave, was an ideal the opportunity to widen our horizons and provide strategic professional development for up-and-coming talent. Using the Interface writers’ index as a resource, our call for applications resulted in appointment of Nottingham Trent fine art graduate Hugh Dichmont as a-n Magazine Reviews editor.
A frequent contributor to Interface, and a subscriber to a-n Magazine, Hugh recognises the impact the a-n has had in developing platforms nationally for new critical writing. Since graduation in 2007, Hugh has combined his own practice with freelance writing, contributing regularly to Nottingham cultural magazine Leftlion and Art Art Art, alongside several special commissions from artists’ groups to write exhibition texts.
