Curator [ 30 July 2012 ]

Ikon, one of the UK’s leading international contemporary art galleries seeks to appoint a dynamic and creative individual to the post of Curator. They will work with the Director to initiate and deliver an ambitious exhibition programme at the gallery and off-site. Your primary responsibility will be developing and organising exhibitions. The Curator is a senior position working closely with the Director and as a member of the Senior Management Team you will play an active role in realising Ikon’s Strategic Plan. Your role will be fundamental to devising a wide-ranging programme. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to both deliver elements of Ikon's core learning programme  and to develop, improve and implement an efficient general administrative service to  the Learning department. A keen interest in and experience ofcontemporary art and education is important. The willingness to contribute flexibly and fully to a busy team, excellent communication skills, general office experience and good I.T. skills are essential.
