RSA Alastair Salvesen Art Scholarship 2008 [ 18 January 2008 ]
WHO: painters who have trained at one of the four Scottish Colleges of Art, currently living and working in Scotland, have worked for a minimum of three years outside a college or student environment and had worked accepted by a recognised organisation or gallery in 2007.
WHAT: painting and travel award of up to £10,000. Includes a solo exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy. The prize money funds travel for three to six months and previous winners have travelled to China, Alaska, the South Seas and thorughout the Middle East.

Artists Professional Development Programme [ 31 January 2008 ]

WHAT: Northern Print is running a series of professional training courses for artists/printmakers during 2008, as part of the CSDI phase 3 programme. Leading artists/printmakers from throughout the UK have been invited to deliver 5-day courses which will include: Drawing & Print; Screenprinting & Colour; Intaglio.
