WHO: visual artists who would like to work alongside local community groups.
WHAT: 4 residencies aiming to facilitate a level exchange between artist and community group; artists will explore their practice through collaborating with their local community, in turn enabling local community members to engage with contemporary art practice on their doorstep.
WHEN: artists will be in residence between early July and late September 2011, exact dates to be confirmed. Hackney Wicked Art Festival dates are 29 - 31 July 2011.
PAYMENTS: four selected artists will each receive a materials budget and will share an expansive studio/workshop space for three months in the heart of Hackney Wick, free of charg.
DETAILS: all work produced in the space will be exhibited during the festival and advertised through the official Hackney Wicked Festival website.
