WHO: HMC welcomes artists at all stages of their careers and seeks to create a mix of various experience levels in each group of residents. Through a competitive application process, HMC offers residencies to visual artists, writers, composers and interdisciplinary artists such as those working in sound, performance, choreography, etc.
WHAT: The Hungarian Multicultural Center invites interested visual artists, writers and performers to submit applications for its residency program in Budapest, Hungary.
WHEN: Session 5: Tuesday 26 December 2011 - Wednesday 11 January 2012
PAYMENTS: while HMC does not provide funding for residencies, they aim to cover 40% of the total cost of the project, including the cost of exhibitions. They encourage applicants to apply for a grant or scholarship and to calculate travel, health insurance and subsistence costs for the duration of their stay.
