WHAT: the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is a UK charity, established in 1988 with the main purpose of supporting links between Britain and Japan. Grants are available to cover educational and grassroots exchanges, research travel, the organisation of conferences, exhibitions, and other projects and events that fulfill this broad objective. New initiatives are especially encouraged.
WHEN: annual deadlines 31 March / 30 September.
PAYMENTS: Daiwa Foundation Small Grants of £1,000 to £5,000. These grants are available to individuals, societies, associations or other bodies in the UK or Japan to support UK-Japan interaction. They can cover all fields of activity, including educational and grassroots exchanges, research travel, the organisation of conferences, exhibitions, and other projects fulfilling this broad objective.
Daiwa Foundation Awards of £5,000 to £15,000 are also available to UK and Japanese institutions/organisations to support collaborative projects, preferably within the context of an institutional relationship, in a variety of fields.
