WHEN: fixed term for 3 years
PAYMENTS: circa £30,000 pa
DETAILS: to lead a programme of research into the Moore holdings at Tate and to stimulate new thinking about this pioneer of modernism. The Research Department at Tate aims to develop the museum’s research potential, and in-depth research into the collection plays a key role in this. The successful applicant will lead a programme of academic and curatorial work that will explore the artist’s importance in twentieth-century art. You’ll be responsible for researching and cataloguing Moore’s works at Tate and for framing a vision for an online scholarly project about Moore. You’ll organise seminars and conferences, and will promote understanding of Moore’s work within the UK and internationally. You’ll also develop innovative ideas for displays involving Moore’s works, and undertake a range of associated curatorial tasks. You’ll have excellent research, writing and interpersonal skills, as well as substantial project-management experience.
