WHO: established academic and practitioner, qualified to at least Masters level (PhD desirable), with a recognised portfolio of research and a track record of making applications to funding bodies
WHAT: Lecturer in Art and Media
PAYMENTS: £36,715 - £43,840
DETAILS: to contribute to the development of the research and teaching agendas, philosophy and strategies at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. The successful applicant will be able to cut across traditional divides between art and design and include wider knowledge of digital filmmaking, installation art, visual effects areas and their applications. As well as possessing considerable knowledge of the subject domain, the individual should be a team player, able to take leadership, as well as demonstrating commitment and drive. The successful candidates will enable digital media artists and designers to maintain, develop and enhance their capacity to engage at an international level with peers in Higher Education, research and the industry. The successful applicant would be expected to establish a programme of funded research via the research councils, contribute to the learning and teaching at undergraduate and post graduate level, be aware of needs of future practitioners in the field both within DJCAD, the University and with other partner organisations and industry. A balance of duties between research, teaching and administration will be agreed by the post holder and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design on a regular and ongoing basis.
