Artists' mobility
The UK Home Offices restrictions on non-EU artists and academics is the subject for a campaign in support of artists mobility.
The new points-based system has affected many organisations and visiting artists from visa-national countries, European and US based asylum seekers, many of whom have actually been refused entry even though they received certificates of sponsorship by UK licensed sponsors, Well-known artists including Antony Gormley, Jeremy Deller, Zarina Bhimji, Tacita Dean, David Medalla, Maureen Duffy and Arthur Brown have signed up as well as directors and trustees from a range of art galleries and organisations.
The aim is to reach 10,000 signatories on the petition to force politicians to take notice. Add you name at www.PetitionOnline.com/MCvisit/petition.html
