According to the AIR member survey 60% of you want forums on this site, to support member-to-member discussion of issues and professional matters.
As a result, we've been working away in the technical background, specing and testing, to bring this on stream as soon as possible. We'll send all AIR members an alert as soon as this facility is available to use.
Forums are a great way for artist-to-artist confidential exchange. Topics and themes may arise from face-to-face discussion such as at AIR Open dialogue events, from art world happenings, to identify common interests.
An example of the latter route is Rachel Howfield's move to establish – slowly but surely – Artists Parents Talking arose from her experiences as recounted in her blog on Artists talking, and from reading and commenting on the blogs of other artists who were juggling parental duties with a serious art practice.
