GFTA takes a break
As part of Arts Council Englands structural changes it has announced some improvements to the Grants for the arts application process that means that no applications can be submitted between Monday 18 January and Friday 26 February.
A refit of the GFTA means that from March, all applications will be dealt with by a Manchester-based until and from 1 March, you can submit your application online. Whilst there will be no changes to the eligibility or assessment criteria, applications for £10,000 or less will require a shorter proposal, enabling decisions to be made within six weeks.
ACE says that: “The new Grants for the arts centre will be staffed by highly skilled arts specialists who have a strong knowledge of the arts and close relationships with regional offices. Online applications are a major step forward in making Grants for the arts more widely accessible and application as easy as possible. This will be a simple, user-friendly process that will help applicants complete the information we need.
Decisions will continue to be made up and until 18 January. However, applicants for £10,000 or less may find it is better to submit their applications later and get a quicker decision using the online process.
