Arts hustings
Booking is opened for the NCAs Arts Hustings event on 9 March, 18.00-20.30 at Tate Britain. The Arts Hustings puts the politicians in the hot seat and gives you the opportunity to quiz them on what they have in store for the arts and cultural sector after the 2010 General Election.
Following the success of the Future Britain conference in June 2009, the National Campaign for the Arts returns to Tate Britain to host a hustings-style debate between the Arts Minister Labour's Margaret Hodge MP, Shadow Arts Minister Conservative, Ed Vaizey MP and Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture Secretary Don Foster MP.
Each panellist will set out their party's offer for the arts and culture and answer questions on a range of arts related topics posed by, you, the audience. NCA expects this to be a lively and passionate debate and a great opportunity to see where the potential future Culture Minister stands on all the issues that matter to you.
You can submit a question for the panel in advance at artshustings@artscampaign.org.uk. If your question is selected, you'll be contacted prior to the event. There will be an opportunity for the audience to ask un-prepared, supplementary questions during the event.
Tickets £12.50 +VAT - £20.00 +VAT are available online at www.artshustings.eventbrite.com
If you're intending to go, please start a discussion thread in Critical debate at www.a-n.co.uk/forums for all members to contribute.
