Unsure about Twitter? Twitter is simply another platform for communicators interacting with one another: promoting links, sharing information, asking for help or simply discussing what you had for breakfast: all in less than 140 characters. Once you've built up good contacts in relevant fields on Twitter it can become one of your most important communication tools. AIR already has a fantastic base membership of over 13,500 members. Imagine what strength such a group could have through fast networking and mobilisation via Twitter?

How will Twitter help AIR's campaigns?

AIR is a fast-growing, pro-active membership body for practising visual and applied artists. Twitter will be utilised for quick mobilisation of our members for relevant campaigns. Therefore if you spot anything that you think AIR should be advocating, direct message us on Twitter and we will promote it.

Our objective is to enable individual artists to identify the issues that matter to them artistically, practically and legislatively. Through powerful networking tools such as Twitter and Facebook AIR will deliver timely campaigns enabling a diversity of artists' voices to be heard, keeping up to date about changes in cultural policy and lobbying for artists' interests.

If you have any questions regarding AIR's use of Twitter please reply to this post. We look forward to hearing your voice.
