Artists home
Points of view
Were interested to hear from more artists to get feedback on our site and their ideas about what else theyd like to see published.
Artists have been behind many of the features now available now. For example, the artists' blogs facility on Artists' talking – suggested in 2006 by artist Anne Brodie as she embarked on her Antarctica residency and the post your own What's on listing + image on Interface. It was in part because over 60% of artists surveyed said that critical review was a vital part of developing their practice and visibility, that Reviews unedited was developed.
Listening in to conversations amongst artists also revealed that they needed more specific information about the various jobs and opportunities on offer. Was there a fee on offer? What level of experience was expected? Importantly, which artists had that organisation appointed in the past? The result is the Jobs and opps site, launched in the summer to the approval of artists and arts employers.
Tell us what you think of our site and our resources for artists and about other things you’d like to see by sending your comment to info@a-n.co.uk with Points of view in the title.
