Cube- Centre for the Urban Built Environment- are looking for a gallery assistant to assist the Exhibitions Coordinator and Curator in developing the gallery programme, planning and preparing new exhibitions and dealing with the day to day running of the gallery. Cube is an art, architecture and design centre, dedicated to broadcasting the ideas and issues that lie behind the buildings, spaces and cultural networks that make up the built environment. CUBE is supported by the University of Salford under the School of the Built Environment and together they present Cube Open 2011. The competition is for artists, architects and designers to apply with work that reflects current trends and debates surrounding the spaces and places in which we live, each year the exhibition highlights contemporary insights into the urban environment. Capture Manchester is a brand new competition, sponsored by DLA Piper, with £5000 in prizes. Images can be photographs, illustrations, design or reproduced artwork.
