RECEPTION [ 2 February 2009 ]
RECEPTION, a one night event taking place at Plan 9 in Bristol on 13 March, will set out to capture messages from the ether, to channel the intangible, the inexplicable and the other-worldly and give form to their signals. We are guided along the way by shamanistic and spiritualistic divinations of the dead, religious apparitions, automatic writings and drawings, glossolalia, electronic voice phenomena, the prevailing electromagnetic fog. Bringing together the aural, visual and experiential, the factual and the mystical, this event seeks to present diverse content in an ambitious format, and we invite artists, scientists, musicians, writers, performers and other investigators to contribute to this eclectic evening.
