Jubilee Craft Commission [ 26 July 2012 ]
Farnham Maltings invites proposals from artists and makers for a commission to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. Farnham Maltings is a collection of buildings set in the heart of Farnham that provides a place in which people can imagine, create and discover. The Jubilee Craft Commission was born out of Farnham Town Council’s desire to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. Textile Makers Network [ 16 April 2012 ]
Farnham Maltings is inviting professional textile makers to join maltings makers: a textile maker's network. Run by its members for its members, maltings makers will support the professional development of makers and artists from all textile disciplines. Regular monthly meetings, held at Farnham Maltings, will enable makers to exchange ideas, share skills and exhibit as a group. Craft Residencies Co-ordinator [ 10 December 2010 ]
One year post overseeing the delivery of a series of craft based residencies in eight communities across Surrey. Making Surrey is funded by Arts Council of England and Arts Partnership Surrey and is designed to encourage participation and expression through craft making. Each 20 day residency will be delivered by one of a team of four craft makers who will be recruited in the spring. The project is managed by Farnham Maltings and Tandridge Leisure. Craft Festival [ 10 May 2010 ]
Annual craft festival showcasing over 70 leading designer makers. The festival is recognised by Arts Council South East as one of the premier craft events in the region. Applications are welcome from makers producing original work. The show offers opportunities to well established craft practitioners as well as first time exhibitors and graduates.
