Greater Manchester Arts Centre is a working title for the merger of Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company to create a new mutli-artform production focused organisation. Cornerhouse is an international centre for contemporary visual arts and culturally diverse independent film. The Library Theatre Company was founded in 1952 and is the major producer of contemporary drama in the North West. The new organisation will build on the heritage and track record of both organisations and look to the future to be be an international contemporary multi-artform organisation producing and presenting excellent world-class work.
The Development Manager will be a senior Head of Department overseeing the day to day management of the fundraising function of the new company and will be expected to act as the interface between the revenue and capital fundraising.

The post holder will play a vital role in the management and delivery of Cornerhouse's exciting visual arts programme, with responsibility for ensuring that the programme is produced to the highest quality and engages a wide range of audiences. This is not a curatorial post. The programme of exhibitions, projects and artists is in place for the period but we need someone with attention to detail and the ambition to bring it all to life. Cornerhouse are looking for an artwork, art project, exhibition, or online project that costs £500 or less to commission. Ideas can be realised in any format and are not restricted by expectations to adhere to any particular theme set by the gallery, they need only to be new and engaging. This position is within the Marketing and Communication team, the successful candidate will be required to create and distribute rich digital content to document, promote and support the Cornerhouse Gallery programme. This involves being able to maximise the use of the galleries host of facilities including Avid and FinalCut Pro edit suites, 100mgb fibre connection and HD cameras in order to maintain and develop areas such as audience numbers, income targets, raising awareness of programme and to be innovators in digital audience engagement within the arts and cultural sector. The Marketing and Communication team includes Communications Manager (PT), Producer (Digital Media Content) and Communications Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Programme & Engagement team and also with the Operations, Finance and Publications teams in order to continue the development of marketing and communications tools and strategies of the Cornerhouse within the arts sector. Cornerhouse is once again inviting submissions for Cornerhouse Projects - an opportunity for early-career artists to exhibit their work in Cornerhouse’s public spaces. In addition to wall-based 2D work in the Café and Bar, and moving-image on LCD screens, there will be opportunities to present online or computer based projects, as well as performative, music or one-off events. As one of the core programmes, Cornerhouse Projects has a unique relationship with the international art and film events taking place in the rest of the building.
