Bilston Craft Gallery are seeking potential exhibitors for a themed show called Kitchen Garden. The spring exhibition coincides with the time of year people are thinking about improving their homes and gardens, spring cleaning, planning their gardens for the summer and planting seeds. Craftsense [ 15 April 2009 ]

Bilston Craft Gallery is the largest publicly funded venue in the West Midlands region to be dedicated to the applied arts. It consists of three exhibition spaces, including a large temporary exhibition space, a community gallery and a permanent exhibition in the introductory gallery called Craftsense. The permanent exhibition Craftsense celebrates the links between 18th Century industry and modern craft practice. The exhibition has five main historical areas featuring work in metal, ceramics, leather, glass and enamels, which is shown alongside a changing display of contemporary loans. Craftsense is an interactive and multi sensory exhibition so the majority of the contemporary pieces are on open display, so that visitors can explore the qualities of the work through touch. Contemporary work featured in Craftsense changes on an annual basis to keep the exhibition fresh and exciting to repeat visitors. Bilston Craft Gallery are currently seeking potential exhibitors whose work is of a high quality, innovative and who work in ceramics, metal or glass to feature in the exhibition.  Read full listing…

Bilston Craft Gallery [ 22 August 2008 ]

Jewellery/small metal workshop room available for graduate maker for a period of 6 months (with the opportunity of extending to 24 months). The workshop is equipped with the basic facilities, soldering torch, pillar drill, pendant motor, pickling tank, polisher/grinder, guillotine and rolling mill but occupants would be expected to provide their own hand tools and materials. There is a small monthly cost of £30 to cover utilities. The successful candidates would also need to hold Public Liability Insurance.  Read full listing…
