Engaged Practice Starter Programme
WHO: early career artists.
WHAT: the Starter Studio Programme for Engaged Practice is designed to provide start-up support to visual artists at an early stage of their career who are interested in exploring and developing their collaborative/engaged/community focused practice. The context for this opportunity is the Parson Cross neighbourhood in Sheffield where Yorkshire Artspace will manage brand new artist studios and engage with local residents.
PAYMENTS: the programme offers access to a shared workspace at an affordable rent with 24/7 access; start-up business support, advice and training; mentor support from experienced practitioners; a shadowing opportunity facilitated by Sheffield City Council's Public Art Officer; opportunity to develop a project in Parson Cross; dedicated time with the Resident Artist commissioned by Yorkshire Artspace to work in Parson Cross over the course of a year.
