WHO: We wish to appoint an enthusiastic Art Technician to facilitate the use of the space, equipment and resources in the Art department by both the teachers and students. The post is ideally suited to a Visual Arts graduate with an interest in exploring a career within education or looking for a way to support their creative practice. Formal qualifications are not essential and we would be interested to hear from any applicants with the necessary energy and enthusiasm to work in Bootham School's dynamic and thriving Art Department. Experience of a range of Art forms including printmaking, textiles, photography and/or digital applications would be useful.

WHAT: Bootham School is a coeducational day and boarding school for about 620 students from 3 to 18 situated on two sites in the city of York. Bootham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All appointments are subject to a satisfactory CRB Enhanced Disclosure and a six month probationary period.

WHEN: 25 hours per week, term-time only. Closing date: June 13th 2011. Interview date: June 24th 2011.

PAYMENTS: Salary range £16,687 to £17,418 (£8,971 to £9,364 pro-rata), depending on experience. Permanent contract. The School offers a generous benefits package which includes contributory pension scheme, fee discounts and generous holiday entitlement.
