Art of Islamic Pattern: A Practical Introduction

WHAT: A practical studio-based course introducing students to geometric and biomorphic (arabesque) design within the Islamic tradition.
WHEN: Saturdays 10.30am - 1pm, from 13th October 2012 (10 sessions)
CHARGES: £300 (includes all materials).
DETAILS: As well as learning design principles, students develop work using traditional techniques, including painting, gilding, ceramics, stone and plaster carving. The course is led by two highly experienced tutors/practitioners and takes place in a well-equipped artist's studio.
