Middlesex University Research Bursaries

WHO: candidates qualified to graduate/postgraduate level for MPhil/PhD research, including practice-based research and practice-as-research in Fine Art and Visual Culture.

WHAT: Research Bursaries in Fine Art, Visual Culture at Middlesex University.

WHEN: to start 2009.

PAYMENTS: UK and EU level tuition fees for full-time research degree students plus an annual tax-free living grant of £15,000. Non-EU students are eligible to apply, but if successful will need to make their own financial arrangements to cover the difference in fees.

DETAILS: The School of Arts and Education at Middlesex University has an active research culture, particularly in practice-based research. See, for example, Visual Culture Research Group (www.visual-culture.com), Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts (www.cea.mdx.ac.uk), and Centre for Research into Creation in the Performing Arts (www.rescen.net). Successful applicants are expected to contribute to this culture, including providing some teaching support.
