Artist in Residence for Leon School

WHO: This post would suit a candidate with an art background or graduate with an interest in education/teaching. Facilities would be available to enable you to develop your own practice both within normal working hours and beyond if desired.

WHAT: Leon School and Sports College is an 11-19 school, which was designated as a specialist Sports College in September 1998. Our outstanding facilities include a Sports Hall, Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool, Astroturf and spacious playing fields and a superb new purpose-built art facility. The successful candidate would be working as part of a highly successful and expanding department. Duties to include: Prepping materials and setting up equipment for lessons; Organising and stock keeping of materials; Supporting staff during lessons; Small group instruction; Running Community Art projects.

WHEN: Fixed one year contract starting in September 2009. Closing date: Noon, Friday 12th June 2009. Interview date: Wednesday 24th June 2009.

PAYMENTS: MK Grade 5 FTE £17,626/actual £15,000 37 hours, term-time.
