WHAT: Technical Demonstrator - Textile Digital Processes

WHEN: fixed term until 30 June 2010

PAYMENTS: £19,068 - £20,736 pa

DETAILS: to provide technical assistance and support technical areas in the Textiles Digital areas at Somerset College of Art and Technology. The successful candidate will: provide technical support and advice; pursue a student centred approach in the delivery of technical support and technical tuition to enable optimum use of Division Facilities; ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and procedures; be responsible for the equipment and materials within the Textiles Digital areas; be responsible with the team for the maintenance of stocks relating to Textiles & Fashion and related areas. Applicants will have subject area experience (which may include HE or FE education and/or employment), appropriate technical and administrative skills to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post. Candidates will also have working knowledge of industry specific textiles and fashion related software: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
