WHAT: Technical Demonstrator - Printmaking

WHEN: fixed term until 30 June 2010

PAYMENTS: £19,068 - £20,736 pa

DETAILS: to provide technical assistance and support technical areas in the Printmaking and Ceramics workshops at Somerset College of Art and Technology. The successful candidate will provide technical support and advice; pursue a student centred approach in the delivery of technical support and technical tuition to enable optimum use of Division Facilities; ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements and procedures; be responsible for the equipment and materials within the Printmaking and Ceramics workshops; be responsible with the team for the maintenance of stocks relating to printmaking and ceramics workshops. Applicants will have subject area experience (which may include HE or FE education and/or employment, appropriate technical and administrative skills to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post and in depth knowledge of a wide range of traditional and contemporary media and printmaking techniques.
