WHO: applicants with an appropriate postgraduate qualification in an art and design discipline and experience of teaching at HE level

WHAT: part time (0.6) Lecturer in Visual Communication

PAYMENTS: £30,747 pa pro rata

DETAILS: to contribute to delivery and developments across the Art and Design curriculum at University of Bedfordshire, and to engage in her/his own research and practice in the subject area. Key responsibilities include teaching on specified courses/units at all levels and operate effectively with unit teams and field committees and assuming responsibility for unit development and leadership as required. The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct research relevant to the subject area and actively pursue opportunities for research funding and publication of research, undertaking supervision of research students and projects as required. The successful candidate should be conversant with current applied art and design practices, have experience of working with and teaching screen-printing and/or drawing and of using imaging software. An awareness of current debates in art and design and of contemporary visual culture is also essential.
