Beyond the Picturesque: Weekend Digital Photography Workshop
WHO: Intended for amateur and professional photographers, artists, academics and those wishing to improve their skills in digital photography, whatever their ability level. A basic understanding of digital photography and Photoshop editing is needed.
WHAT: Photographer and educator, Patrick Shanahan will lead this workshop exploring the post-mining Cornish landscape. This practical workshop will look beyond the picturesque representations of Cornwall and discover new ways of expression, which have contemporary relevance. We will also explore the idea of landscape photography as metaphor and allegory.
WHEN: Two day non-residential course. Saturday 3rd July, 2.00pm – 7.00pm: Two locations, meet at Starbucks Coffee car-park, next to Chiverton Cross roundabout on the A30 Sunday 4th July, 11.00am – 4.00pm: Kestle Barton, with a buffet lunch
CHARGES: The workshop fee is £100, or £65 for students. This includes lunch on Sunday.
DETAILS: Participants will be required to bring their own digital camera, laptop computer uploaded with Photoshop (Elements or full version), Adobe Camera RAW for your own camera profile and the images from the previous session, Mouse, mains lead, notepad and pen, etc. Please contact Kestle Barton for full details.
