Andrew Bryant's biography
Andrew Bryant was Online editor of Artists talking from January 2008 – October 2012. An artist and musician, he studied Photography at the University of Derby and Fine Art MFA at Goldsmiths.
"After four and a half years as editor of Artists talking I am leaving a-n to pursue my long-standing ambition to train and work as a psychoanalyst. The training takes at least four years and is quite expensive so I have taken a full-time job that will hopefully carry me through. Sadly this means I can’t continue in my role as editor of Artists talking. You will be pleased to hear, however, that I won't be giving up art, and hopefully by 2016 I will have a practice as a psychoanalyst and an art practice both up and running alongside each other. A little bit of heaven on earth!
I have enjoyed my time at Artists talking very much and feel privileged to have been a part of it right from the start. Watching the community grow and develop, and being able to see into the nitty-gritty of a whole range of artists’ practices, has been a pleasure and an education. I am grateful to a-n for giving me the opportunity, and for all their support throughout. I am especially grateful to all the Artists talking bloggers for making the role so interesting and rewarding. I wish every one of you the absolute best in your lives and careers."
