Although fundamentally a painter, I use a range of media and methods to explore the nature of painting and its relationship with the viewer.  Work to date includes: web based projects and interactive interventions as well as painting, drawing, installation and digital media. My particular concern is the rhetoric of visual art – and how this rhetoric and its context influence the viewer’s perception of the artwork’s meaning.  In all my work I aim for accessibility and the empowerment of the viewer – either to make their own meaning for the work, or to lead any enquiry for further information.
