I am in my final year BA top up after completing an HND in fine art (with distinction) I use a mix of media in my work but mainly specialise in 3D work Drawing on influences such as mythology religion and inspired by Bakhtin's theories surrounding the carnivalesqe/grotesque bodily principle and Rabelaisian visual imagery My current work questions socially enforced sexual identity, using the skin as the metaphor that keeps us from abjection and defines our status within society
