Tracking

has my TMoM art sitting in a van at the Charlton depot of Parcel Force, while waiting to be delivered AM Monday.

There is an element of vulnerability about the work being neither here or there (in my studio or at the gallery).

I will be happier when Jane Boyer (TMoM artist and curator) confirms it has arrived safely.

Not that I am over protective of the art, it is the difficulty of re-working it in time for the exhibition (should it arrive damaged) that has me slightly on edge.

Everything arrived in excellent condition. So now I know I have a proven method of protecting TUNCaT during transportation. A method I can use for the between exhibition updates.

My art arrived, but has yet to be unpacked. So I am still on edge. Did my custom packing system for TUNCaT protect it against the rigours of Parcel Force transportation!

En route

TUNCaT is on its way to Deptford, London for the first exhibition of the TMoM tour.

TUNCaT will appear in TMoM with bar EP blues (kinetatic).

I will be taking part in an artist conversation for the first hour of the PV at ATP Gallery Deptford London.

The PV is from 6pm to 9pm on 14th March 2013.

The conversation will revolve around detail.

Working out what detail is with respect to TUNCaT and bar EP blues (kinetatic) will be my focus for the next few days.

Packaging

Sending a delicate work through the parcel post requires a bit of planning and in this case a custom frame to support the work.

A 'custom frame' sounds so grand when it is a simple mount board sandwich designed to clamp the work so it cannot be flayed against the sides of the box during transit. It appears to do the job, in testing at least.

When the work arrives safe at the gallery I will know for sure, or be rushing about trying to get another print there by some other means. D day is 12th March, we will know then and not before.

Preparation

Today was spent preparing and packing TUNCaT for TMoM. The pre APT exhibition print was made, freezing the state of TUNCaT for the duration of the APT Deptford exhibition.

The virtual work TUNC will continue to be updated on at least a daily basis. The next physical print will be made between exhibitons in readiness for the second stage of the TMoM tour at Strange Cargo in Folkstone.
