The scheduled close date is under review. Should this exhibit be extended? My current thinking is to leave it here until such time as the a-n blogging system changes in a way that makes the presentation invalid.
current schedule
2011-11-14 : installation started in public
2011-12-11 : fully installed and open
2012-12-11 : scheduled to close [extended indefinitely]
The exhibition continues and will take around thirty minutes to view as this artist intended - by playing each video for the full fifty five seconds before moving onto the next. However - if you cannot commit thirty minutes to contemplate this art installation - here is an alternative quick exhibition tour, play this video and tour all the components in just two and a half minutes. If this is still too long for you, then I don't know how you managed to find the time to read this far! But thanks for visiting anyway.
As with the individual elements - for the very best viewing - this quick exhibition tour will play full screen in 1080p HD.
Such a small thumbnail, but I can see the circles and the squares. Also, I have learnt to write 'psychological games' in Italian too. Thank you ;O)

You begin to know me Eleonora! I went through a phase of deletion, which I think I am over now. Deletion is still an important part of my work, but I think my delete R E S I D U A L, B E F O R E and B E Y O N D a-n blogs contain enough of it for now. In any case the a-n system won't allow me to delete your (or anyone else's) comment. I can only delete my own. If I want to remove yours from view then I would need to un publish the post in its entirety. Even then your comment would be safely stored on the A-N server, although not visible on the web. Not something I plan to do until I close this exhibition of C I R C U A R E m (and me) and it will be here at least until the end of 2012 and probably longer. I will take a look at your image link now.

I wonder whether this comment will manage to survive the squaring of the circle or it too will be removed.
The code reminds me of this "Psychological games" book my parents had that I used to play with. Square and circle based codes would appear, and you had to guess which element was next in the sequence.
The book cover took me a while to find, but it was worth the search!: http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/mqhVIM7jYPrlaekmnC4Ldog/140.jpg

Hi David, I really enjoyed your compressed time version. It occurred to me while watching that none of your squares are presented on their corners as diamonds - any reason? Just curious.
From circle to square via CIRCUARE. What happens when an artist questions the exhibition opportunities on offer. Why are in-line videos allowed in an a-n blog when static images are not? Why does a video need to move? Can what is expected to be kinetic satisfy when static? These are some of the new questions involved in stimulating C I R C U A R E m (and me).
A series of twenty seven, fifty five second duration, static video components presented in reverse chronological order within an a-n blog. A blog used as-if a gallery.

extended indefinitely
This installation will remain for the foreseable future unless the a-n web changes in a way to make it non viable.
