Yes, you are right. There is a great difference. When you move your work from one location to another there are many elements which can change they way a piece is viewed. One becomes much more spatially aware and able to step back, gaining a better overview of the pieces. This, in combination of the work being placed in a clear and clean exhibition room enabled an altogether clearer judgement of the pieces. It was not until I moved the paintings into an exhibition space that I became aware of how assertive they were. Certain compositions within the work are not so obvious when you are working away in your studio. Moving them into such a space, you are able to see how pieces work together, reassess them and then return to the painting with a better insight. As far a documenting the work, showing my work in such a photo enables the viewer an insight into the size of my work, as well as how it would work in a gallery space. Thank you for the comment Regards, Andrew North

Great images Andrew, how do you feel getting your work in to a exhibition space out with the sudio benefits the documentation and representation of your work? To me there is a strong difference between the collaged photographs in previous posts and the installation-shots published in this post. Look out for your spot on the Degrees unedited homepage this month.
