Through looking at the self I have decided to move away from painting and start to think about how we present ourselves and the object in which we surround ourselves with, as if almost a performance or mask, making the real self something unobtainable.  These objects are similar to relicts and could be treated as such. There are many objects that have been forced upon us as children and throughout our lives that seem to influence how we project what we want people to think about ourselves.
