The Artist as Creator: a Personal Philosophy of Art

Art is an experiential vehicle whose influence offers a portal into the minutiae of life's mechanics - the other worldly, the sublime, the often obscure and unnoticed. The important moments in life that offer in new windows of experience to the already familiar and existing. Art is one of many creative tools that we choose to use to facilitate our process of communication with self and the world we build around us.

Art generates new ideas, processes and actions. It is a conscious stream of ongoing, creative experiences and visual testaments that, like cryptographs, convey hidden meanings. Signs and epiphanies that inform and guide us on life's path, distilling our sense of self and punctuate reference points on our existential maps of life - points of orientation. The creative story we build around us becomes our personal myth and a new, progressive way of seeing that helps us to understand our place in life.

This exposé to the new and ever changing, invites in an acceptance of chance and imbues a richness into everyday things, giving a deeper meaning to life and bringing ephemeral moments of private meaning into being. Our own authenticity is the driving force with which we live life. It gives us hapiness, fulfillment and times of deep celebration.
