Today I have decided to show you the list of things that may or may not interfere in some way with my project. This list was compiled whilst driving to work when I feel at my most awake..

saucer of milk

cocaine

conversations

low sounds

whispers

private ambulance

I fully intend to add to this list on a daily basis when I am feeling  at my brightest..

# 3 [10 May 2009]

Today I have shuffled around my studio trying to decide where to place each piece of spliced, reconfigured and manipulated image together with the usual materials I have to create new work. I am undecided at the moment, wrestling with composition, colour and even scale of the subjects I have chosen to portray in this new series of abodes for my beautiful kings. Part of me really wants to push the size of the work more..I will need a more decisive state of mind as well as a larger area to work in for these to work. I am forever working behind myself. Ideas have been realised for the next reveal but I have the compulsive need to complete these before I can move onto the next stage...

# 2 [9 May 2009]

The project is a slow - reveal. Over time, I will be exposing the next layer of the project. If all goes to plan, I will expose a series of landscapes from where my imaginary 'kings' reign. This project is multi layered in many ways as is the way I always appear to work. Its just knowing when to stop.

I introduce 'Wimp'..

Also in this series are 'Gimp', 'Pimp', 'Mint', 'Limp' and 'Crimp'. All are Kings in their own right.

MY INTERESTS ARE FOCUSSED TOWARDS HIERARCHICAL AND FANTASTICAL SUBJECTS OF MONARCHY AND NOBLE FOLK. MY PRACTICE HAS A TENDENCY TO BE FIGURATIVE WITHIN ITS SUBJECT OF REWORKING OLD WORKS, SUGGESTING A DARKER SIDE TO THE SEDUCTIVENESS OF BEAUTY WHILST DISRUPTING THE REAL.

My practice contains a mixture of romanticism and crudity, a questionable innocence.
