Anika Carpenter

Working with sculpture, drawing, photography and poetic text I create pieces that both share and protect the most lucid and personal of recollections. My work amplifies and commemorates those small significances and poetic coincidences which are so often diminished by our high-speed, high-tech existence; the vines of a honeysuckle echoing the intersection of a familiar A-road for example, or a piece of broken jewellery conjuring an encounter with an ex-lover.
