# 21 [17 October 2010]

I've got to give  talk to the kids tomorrow and then again on Thursday. They are doing a project on butterflies and I'm the artist they are looking at. I'm going to explain why and how I put up the installation.  just know my mind will go blank when I try and speak.

# 22 [18 October 2010]

I gave a talk to the kids today. I rushed it but besides that it was ok I think. They seemed interested and asked questions which is a good sign I guess.

# 23 [24 October 2010]

I thought I'd have loads of time over half term to get all the little bits of work completed for Six rooms Gallery but it looks like I'm going to be mad busy all week. I helped my friend set up two installations today, but they're not finished yet, so I'm going back over for the whole day on Tuesday and possibly tomorrow evening. I'll get loads done tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday though. Relatives over at the weekend so that's out, but I'm not panicking yet.

# 24 [27 October 2010]

Went to help my friend install her work again yesterday. She's cutting it fine, but her work looks fantastic. It's the private view tonight, can't wait, it's going to look amazing.

Then tomorrow night is the p.v of both of our works at the Bridewell. which I am not looking forward to at all.

# 25 [27 October 2010]

Went over to the p.v. of my friends work tonight at Wolstenholme Square. It looked even better than I thought it would. She'd added some final touches, set the lights up and added music to the explored music set piece and the other installation was fantastic too. I hadn't seen that one anywhere near finished so it was great to see. If you get a chance it's well worth a visit.

Wolstenholme Square - With These Walls we are Shaped - Exhibition runs until 28th November http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=297935392712

I went into college yesterday to pick up some prints that I need to addition, date and sign for a project that my ex-print tutor Michelle Rowley has got me involved in. I think it's going to be great, several different institutes are going to be involved, with each one giving up to twenty prints to the other institutes to exhibit. I don't know if I'm in it yet though, as teh deadline is sometime in January. Fingers crossed.

Went to set up my 'Security Blanket' at the gallery in Birkenhead Park today as part of an exhibition that my ex-tutor asked me to be part of. But I ended up putting in seven pieces because there wasn't enough work to fill the walls.

I've got to make a A5 piece of work by Tuesday as part of a collection of pieces by the artists that have been part of the six room gallery exhibition for a present for Theresia. i know what I want to make but some how I need to make more time.

I've also got to find the time to make some work under £50 for an Christmas exhibition at Mersey Bio, but that doesn't need to be in quite yet.

And then when that's all over I need to think about an exhibition that my ex-tutor has asked me to show with him. It's all go!

The p.v was last night at Birkenhead Park, I think it went ok, didn't have to stay long. I'm at the six rooms gallery all day today so I'm just going to finish preparing some grounds  to work on so I've got something to do when I'm there, atleast then I'm not wasting my day off.

It was one of my ex-tutors (Vincent Lavells) exhibitions last night. A celebration of his 50th birthday and the works he has made. It was interesting to see how his work has developed and changed over the years. There where some ink and varnish pieces that I would have liked to buy if I had the money that were beautiful, kind of giving the idea of landscapes but allowing your imagination to fill in the details. There where lots of familiar faces and it was nice to catch up with everyone.

# 30 [30 November 2010]

In work yesterday I asked if in the New Year I could try to find my way around some of the art packages on the computer system in my spare time. My boss was fine about it and said I could use work time to do it too when there wasn't anything else to do. I have wanted to understand more than just photoshop but haven't been able to afford the packages for ages and I think it would help in work if I knew them too.
