Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
ICA, London
Until 19 October
'Video Acts: Single Channel works from the collections of Pamela and Richard Kramlich and New Art Trust' offers a rare opportunity to see more than eighty landmarks in the development of video art. It includes early single channel pieces and more recently produced artworks and installations from the mid-1960s through to 1998, demonstrating the ongoing relationship between video and performance. The works in the exhibition were either made for video or later released as videos. Each work is shown continuously and simultaneously on separate monitors and projectors. It includes major pieces by, amongst others, Marina Abramovic and Ulay, Vito Acconci, John Baldessari, Dan Graham, Joan Jonas, Mike Kelley, Paul McCarthy, Bruce Nauman, Tony Oursler, Martha Rosler, Richard Serra, Bill Viola and William Wegman as well as more recent works by Steve McQueen, Darren Almond and Pipilotti Rist.
