Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing

Leicestershire Open Studios is an annual city- and county-wide event coordinated by Hidden Treasures, a voluntary organisation founded by visual arts practitioners. This year over 150 artists will be opening their doors and inviting the public into their studios and homes, as well as exhibiting at galleries around the region. Exhibiting artists include: Phillip Ayriss, John M Barradell, Vivian Blackburn, Mary Byrne, Mable Cable, Judith Eason, Bob Hall, Sarah Kirby, Ros Kite, Mirja Koponen, Nita Rao and David Rolls. From 29 August LCB Depot on Rutland Street in the citys emerging Cultural Quarter will be the venue for a ten day showcase exhibition of artwork from all participants.
