Visual art exhibitions and events with a platform for critical writing
This month we profile a selection of networks that have applied to NAN bursaries in the past two months.
AAS A framework group based in Birmingham. Formed in 2001 after the dissolution of the art group Proto-mu. AAS curate exhibitions, organise events, make collaborative artworks and generates connections between artists. AAS are interested in the places where artrists and audiences meet or coincide. AAS members vary from project to project, ensuring that the network has no leaders and acts as an open system for artists who take part. Forthcoming projects include A strange drifts into town, or someone goes on a journey, a touring show curated by AAS for City Gallery, Leicester, which will be at MAC, Birmingham, in April 2006, and The Conversation, a performance event in Leicester inspired by the homonymous Martin Scorsese film. Currently in its third year, Another Product consists of two artist-curators Dawn Woolley and James Moore.
