Thermo contains work by thirty-five Manchester artists selected by artist-curators James Hutchison and Rachel Goodyear. Many of the artists will be familiar, Maggie Ayliffe, Martin Murray and Liam Spencer and there are some emerging talents to boot. All the work is for sale and offers an opportunity to pick up original and inimitable work and even the odd line – in what might best be described as – an 'expanded field' of arts merchandising. 'Thermo' also witnesses the launch of 'A Manchester Portfolio', limited edition works by ten artists chosen by curators Graham Parker and Paul Stolper, and on the Lowry's Deck Kwong Lee has put together a DVD showcase reel of new video works. Bring along your chequebook and chase those summer bargains.
