WHO: Ceramicists, designers and artists working with clay.

WHAT: taking place in Stoke-on-Trent applications are invited for the following
opportunities: Award - Rewarding and promoting the best in contemporary practice, the Biennial Award exhibition will be selected in three categories: Art: One-off ceramics, ideas, installations; Craft: Studio production; Design: Ceramic design for manufacture. An overall Award of £10,000 will be made.
Fresh - Drawn from the graduates of ceramic courses in national HE institutions in 2010 and 2011, this highprofile exhibition presents the most creative emerging artists makers and designers. A new award for FRESH will be initiated in 2011. Explore – research residencies Artists will be commissioned to undertake explorative research, with the freedom to work within the industry to explore, challenge and work with its materials, processes and products. The outcomes of the explorations will be presented as exhibitions with associated events during the Biennial festival with a focus on the former Spode factory site in Stoke.
