WHO: candidates who have, or expect to achieve, a MA (at least a Merit), or equivalent, in a relevant subject and at least an upper-second-class Honours degree at BA level.
WHAT: Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Doctoral Studentships
WHEN: for 2011 entry. Awards must be for a minimum of one year FT (or 20 months PT). In practice, most successful AHRC doctoral studentship applications are for awards of 3 years (FT) or 5 years (PT)
PAYMENTS: a full award covers tuition fees at the UK/EU rate and an annual stipend of £13,590 (2010/11). A partial award covers fees only at the UK/EU rate.
DETAILS: Four awards available for study at Newcastle University in subjects including: fine art; museum, gallery and heritage studies; film, digital and media production. Before making an application you must get in touch with the relevant subject area contact.
