Learning in Galleries: engaging with Visual Culture
WHO: Anyone new to the gallery education sector.
WHAT: An innovative course designed by the Institute of Education, University of London, in partnership with engage, as an introduction to gallery education. The taught sessions will take place at the Institute of Education and selected London galleries. In addition participants are required to undertake some gallery-based research to inform discussion.
WHEN: 19 & 20 April and 3 & 4 May 2012 10am-6pm each day with an extended evening session on 3 May

DETAILS: Key components of the course include: Case study presentations at London art galleries Opportunities to share and discuss practice and identify ways forwards Seminars and workshops Course tutors: Lesley Burgess, Claire Robins, Helen Charman and Jane Sillis. Contributions will also come from academic staff at the Institute of Education and members of engage.
