ICA - Education Department Internship Opportunity
WHO: applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and have experience in gallery based education and working within an office setting role. They should possess computer literacy (knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint), an excellent telephone manner and work well both in a team and autonomously. A committed interest in gallery education and excellent spoken and written English skills are essential.
WHAT: the ICA Education Department is currently looking to recruit a hard working and motivated intern for a four-month period for 3 days per week, subject to a two-week probationary period. Working closely with the Director of Learning, this role is a great opportunity to become involved in the ICA's ambitious education programme, working with schools, colleges, communities and families in a 'hands on' capacity. Duties will include developing and managing projects, supporting group visits, maintaining databases as well as general administration. There may be some evening and weekend work involved, but time is given off in lieu.
PAYMENTS: internships are offered on a voluntary basis, however all travel expenses between travel zones 1-4 are reimbursed and ICA staff benefits are provided.
