WHAT: Research Associate at Institute for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development & Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts

WHEN: fixed term to end June 2010

PAYMENTS: £24,877 - £28,839

DETAILS: to undertake research in the areas of knowledge exchange, networks and innovation in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the DSIC network and other science based communities, and work with SMEs to identify needs which can be met from the resources of HEIs and translate these into effective business support solutions. The successful candidate will be 60% engaged in research, dissemination and publication, but would contribute up to 40% of their time to engaging and supporting SMEs primarily in the DSIC network. Ideally, candidates will have knowledge and experience of engaging with SMEs, quantitative and qualitative methodologies and an interest in innovation, knowledge exchange, design thinking or networks.
