St. Nessan's National School Commission
WHO: artists working to commission outdoors.
WHAT: the commissioned artwork should make a strong visual statement about St. Nessan's, a large co-educational school of 711 pupils with a long tradition of learning dating back to the 6th century when St. Nessan founded his monastery in Mungret.
WHEN: the work commissioned must be in place by 15 April 2010.
PAYMENTS: the commission has a total budget of E22,000 which will be awarded by an open competition with a two stage selection procedure. All short-listed artists who attend to make a presentation will be paid an all inclusive fee of E500.
