WHO: UK based painters.
WHAT: call for entries to a new initiative from Jerwood Visual Arts. UK based painters are invited to apply for three new Jerwood Painting Fellowships, to be awarded to outstanding artists in the first five years of their professional practice. Three selected artists will each receive a bursary of £10,000 and a six-month period of critical and professional development support from three mentors. During that time each artist will be expected to work toward a body of new work. In April 2011, an exhibition of this new work will take place at Jerwood Space, London before touring, as part of the Jerwood Visual Arts programme.
